Human Applications is looking for a physical ergonomist to join our company, one of the UK’s leading risk management organisations. You must be interested in delivering training and workshops to address manual handling issues, from risk assessment to training for trainers, as well as supporting organisations in managing DSE risks.
You will need to have a great understanding of manual handling and DSE issues. You must be able to communicate well both verbally and in writing, and enjoy delivering training in some of the UK’s largest organisations as part of our small team of ergonomists.
The package includes pension contribution, regular bonus payments and opportunities for development and training.
You must be formally qualified in ergonomics or human factors. You will be prepared to be based in Loughborough but happy to travel throughout the UK and EU on a regular basis as part of a team. Excellent English both spoken and written is essential. You must be eligible to travel within the EU. This is a full-time post, we are only interested in employees. No contractors please.

Health and Safety Practitioner £27-34k + bonus + benefits

Human Applications is looking for a health and safety practitioner to join our company, one of the UK’s leading risk management organisations. We are looking for a team player, initially to join us as a trainer/facilitator, with rapid progression to undertaking consultancy and support projects. We are looking to appoint on a scale of £27,000 – £34,000 (depending on experience) with regular pay reviews and yearly bonuses (depending on performance). We value exposure to safety issues across a range of topics from COMAH to CDM to behavioural safety.
You will need to be familiar with UK safety practice. You will need to be either currently working directly in a health and safety advisory role (working with managers and front-line teams to manage risk) or have direct experience of the role.
You must be able to communicate well both verbally and in writing, and enjoy delivering training as part of our team of safety professionals.

Essential: You must be Grad IOSH or CMIOSH. The role requires you to be based near Loughborough, UK but to travel throughout the EU. Excellent English both spoken and written is essential. Desirable: We work predominantly with large organisations, both private and public sector in the UK, EU, USA and Far East. You will need to be based within day-to-day working distance of Loughborough and must be prepared to travel within the UK and elsewhere regularly.

Our work is mostly with management teams – up to and often including Board-level work.
Please note that we’re based in Loughborough, in the East Midlands of England. One of our strengths is that we learn from each other by bouncing ideas and learning experiences around in regular team and business meetings. As such, you’d be based in the East Midlands and would normally expect to work at our HQ, The Elms, when you’re not out with clients.
