Jobs
with Human Applications
We're always open to receiving expressions of interest from intriguing
people!
If you think
your own background and interests coincide with ours, then by all means
mail or email your CV. You should also include
a covering
note explaining why you're the right person for us and with which technical
areas you think you can best assist us. Alternatively, ring and ask
to speak to one of the Directors, who'll be happy to talk things
through
with you.
Please note
that we're based in Loughborough, in the East Midlands of England.
One of our strengths is that we learn from each other
by bouncing
ideas and learning experiences around in regular team and business
meetings. As such, you'd be based in the East Midlands and would
normally expect
to work at our HQ, The Elms, when you're not out with clients.
Current Vacancies
One ‘starter’, one ‘more-senior’ post available
Everyone's experiencing tough times right now, so it's good to announce that we're in recruitment mode. We urgently need to appoint two highly committed safety professionals who have a particular interest in the delivery of really effective safety risk management consultancy and management training. One position will be for a 'starter consultant' (someone who wants to develop their consultancy skills from scratch), the other for someone with greater experience.
We operate our ISO-registered risk management consultancy throughout the UK, Europe, US and the Far East, undertaking consultancy & training in health & safety, business risk and ergonomics. We undertake extensive work on behalf of IOSH and the IRM and have an enviable client-base of large 'blue-chip' companies and organisations.
If you're interested in working with us, you'll have at least 2-3 years practical safety experience - more for the senior role. In either case, you'll already have a NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and so be at or very close to CMIOSH status. We're IIP and C&G registered too, so we'll expect (and be prepared to fund) a real commitment to learning.
You'll be a team player who's in tune with the things we're trying to achieve. You'll be outgoing (what's the point of work if we can't have fun now and again!), smart and able to think on your feet. You'll talk sense and be able to communicate ideas with energy and authority in tough commercial settings. You'll be able to articulate arguments coherently and you must be able to write well.
You'll be based in Loughborough and must live (or be prepared to move) within day-to-day working distance of The Elms. You'll hold a full driving licence and be prepared to travel widely and regularly in the UK and overseas. Salary by negotiation dependent on qualifications and experience (please indicate current/recent salary on any application). Pension and health package also included. Interested? Then get your CV to us, together with a covering letter, by Tuesday September 14th. Interviews will be on Friday September 24th.

These jobs will be advertised in the September issue of the SHP.
Please note that Human Applications operates its consultancy and training activities on an employment model. Except on very rare occasions, therefore, we do not use associates. All our appointments are for posts based at our HQ in Loughborough. Whilst we travel all over the world (and certainly, regularly, all over the UK), we are based at The Elms when not on client sites. Candidates would therefore need to be based, or be prepared to move, so as to be within striking distance of The Elms to apply. |
